Regarding weight problems, same thing happened to me. After firing three doctors, I now see a doctor at Hopkins who informed me that I was on entirely too much hydrocortisone. The standard for treating Addison's is 20/10 mgs. 20 miligrams in the morning and ten at night. Turns out for me, the standard was too much and therefore I gained 50 lbs in four months.
The third doctor cut my dosage in half and I've lost
15 lbs in four months. I'm not losing it as quickly as I gained it. I have more energy on the higher dose, but couldn't stand myself being so heavy. Now that I'm on the lower dosage, I don't have as much energy and get up and go. Try it. If your doctor won't reduce your dosage, then I would suggest finding another doctor.
