I am having incredible sugar cravings. If I do not get any sugar when a craving is happening I get EXTREMELY tired and can barely function. I always have hard candy (annise and carmel apple suckers). I go through 2 bags of the suckers per week! I am sure that this has not helped with my weight gain (almost 15 lbs over 2 months). I am so fatigued. Last night I went to bed at 2 (from the prednisone - I can't seem to get to sleep) and woke up at noon. But by 3:30 in the afternoon I could barely keep my eyes open, I feel like I hadn't slept in a week.
I also had elbow surgery back in April (ulnar nerve problem) and also hit my head back in July. Both of these problems I am still having a problem in overcoming. The dr. said that the Addison's may be to blame.
I am trying to get into see a new endocrinologist as I have just been seeing my internal medicine doctor (the one who diagnosed me). I don't think that I am getting all the information that I need to sort all this stuff out with my Addison's. I have basically been getting my info from the Internet.
I am trying to get in to see him and possibly have more tests completed and my questions answered.
I was wondering if there is anything with Addison's and these sugar cravings. I honestly feel like I can't get enough.
