Adrenal desiccated & Drenamin

After being so sick for over a yr I went to a Chiro who also does testing & herbs. He did the BP test & sd I have adrenal burnout & told me to take the herbs I mentioned in the title. My problem is even after taking them for awhile now, my sleeping is so bad can't get to sleep & when I do keep waking up during the night, peeing alot & getting up finally at 5:45am. My hip area & legs hurt alot all the time now & I'm badly constipated. Has anyone felt like this? I'm thinking of finding another Dr for 2nd opinion.

Re: Adrenal desiccated & Drenamin

Did you get a copy of the tests?
How much are you taking and when? Are you taking it at night? If you are, you will not sleep. Steroids will keep you up at night.
I think it would be good to see a doctor that treats adrenals for an opinion. Depending on how much of the adrenal medication however, you must wean down, you cannot just stop. No one else can test you while you are on medication.

Re: Adrenal desiccated & Drenamin

As far as I know the only tests were the BP taken 3 diff ways & symptoms. This is not an MD it's a Chiro/physician & it's not meds I'm taking but herbs with that name.

Re: Adrenal desiccated & Drenamin

I have had adrenal fatigue for a few months now. Unfortunately, it does take quite some time to fully recover your adrenal function once the adrenals have been burned out. However, they DO recover, and fully, as long as you follow the correct protocol. Have you taken the saliva test to determine the extent of your adrenal dysfunction? Ask your chiropractor about it if you haven't - it's always good to have a starting point so you can measure whether what you're doing is working or not.

Drenamin is very good for adrenal fatigue. In addition, you will need to re-vamp your diet. It can take a couple of years to fully recover, but you do slowly feel better and better. I know you live in FL, but I have an excellent chiropractor here in Chicago who could maybe refer you to someone out in FL.

Hope this helps. Hang in there - I promise it will get better if you follow these steps.

Good luck!

Re: Adrenal desiccated & Drenamin

Thanks even though some of the info was cut out. I have been taking alot of herbs for adrenals for a few months now & whether it's that or not I do feel alot better, not as tired & have started putting on weight which I needed bad. I went to my reg Dr (never again) & mentioned the adrenals & his wife laughed & so did he. He sd there's nothing wrong w/them & the chiro is not a Dr & made fun of the test he did. They just don't want to hear it.
