Flu shot or not - Addison's Disease Message Board

Are there any opinions here on whether Addison' patients should get a flu shot or not? We are trying to decide if our 16yod should get this due to the new diagnosis. We still haven't gotten meds to work well for her and are in the beginning stages of understanding this disease. She has been sick all year as we tried to treat this naturally before we really new what was wrong with her.

I was told that I can not have the flu shot, but I have heard other addisonians who can have the shot. I think it would be best to ask your childs endo. I have multiple medical issues that may influence my doctors decision, so I don't really know. Sorry I can't help you out.
