Sons pains in legs

hi,
My son does jujitsu and kids in the gym, (rhys is 10) lately we've noticed that for a day or so after he complains that his legs ache, we are aware that it's could be just because he has a pretty good little work out, but will he be more prone to aches and pains due to his addisons.
His instuctors know about his condition and he drinks plenty during his activities and they slow him down if they think he may be pushing himself to much.

thanks

kellers

Re: Sons pains in legs

I'm a 16 year old with addisons and I also had aches in my legs that were quite difficult to explain but sort of felt like cramping through the lower half of my leg throughout and became very uncomfortable. It occured most often at the end of the day which sometimes made getting to sleep uncomfortable and could last for quite a while. Does this sound similar to your son? My endocrinologist could offer no explanation for this but this may have been because I could never fully explain it. This happened mostly when I was younger around your sons age and happened quite often and in patches. Now at 16, it happens very rarely, usually only after intense excersise or if I am exhausted that day, so hopefully the aches will go away with age! ask his specialist for more information.
