Emergency Injection Kit

Hi, I'm newly diagnosed and just got my kit. Had to go to 3 different pharmacies to find one that could fill it. I'm confused because I have solu-cortef that mixes with saline and then makes 2ml's for the 100mg dose, but they only gave me 1 ml syringes. How the heck do I do that? these are standard syringes you use for sub-cutaneous injections like in your belly under a pinch of skin, but everything I read about emergency injections seem like you are supposed to do it in your thigh. but the Pharmacist said no, belly is better. Endo said the syringes would be pre-filled but that didn't happen either. Should I have a bigger syringe or needle for that (or does it not matter) and should it be one that can hold the full amount of the injection?

Also I'm wondering what people put their syringe in to carry around in their purse? I've got two pre-schoolers at home who love to go through my purse and I'm trying to figure out what to put this in to carry it around safely. Any suggestions are much appreciated!
