Lightbulb epstein barr responsible??

Hi all,

ive discovered this forum recently i my goal to find out what is going on with my gf.
I really think she has some degree of adrenal fatigue, so we went to her doc.

He says it is post viral pfeiffer (Infectious mononucleosis)
even 2 years after she was diagnosed with it.

Does anyone here know of ever heared of this viral infection lingering that long or being associated with the same symptoms as adrenal fatigue?
She also has hypothyroidism.

I showed the doc a really long list with syptoms, and I dont believe they are all due to Infectious mononucleosis.

I have searched the net about this and also this forum but vccannot find much correlation between Infectious mononucleosis and adrenal fatigue.

So perhaps some of you can show me in the right direction.
Thank you

(PS: dont mindm y english, im Dutch )

Re: epstein barr responsible??

I think doctors give the "chronic fatigue" diagnosis because they really don't know what else to do. I was diagnosed in may and think its bs. I have been net surfing to try to find out *** is really wrong with me. One question, does ur gf take any antidepression meds? This is important because some of these meds can screw up the adrenal system. Good luck.

Re: epstein barr responsible??

Don't quit looking for answers but get some hormone blood work done. Cortisol, PTH, and DHEA, if these are off see an endocronologist.

This is just a suggestion and may lead nowhere but there seems to be a connection between CFS & Fibromyalgia and endocrine hormones. Also large doses of steroids can lead to pituatary damage so if you have been treated for chronic pain with steroids the risk that the pituatary is damaged is a very real issue.

Endrocine diseases are often misdiagnosed as CFS (chronic fatigue syndrome) and Fibromyalgia, depression, panic attacks, etc.

people with endocrine disorders often get sick easy because the endocrine disorder can depress the immune system.
