Need answers...testing tomorrow!LONG post....
I just had my son in May of 2011, via emergency c section for placental abruption. Since his birth, my life has been a revolving cycle of good days and bad days, with the bad outweighing the good. I have had to switch providers twice, and may have to AGAIN to find out what is wrong with me!
I bled post partum for about 12 weeks solid, with a few days here and there with none at all, which I attributed to the c/s. I had to be readmitted at 3 days after delivery (the day after I came back home) for a uterine infection, and a hematocrit of 7.2. I was given MASSIVE amounts of antibiotics, and was sent home with them, too, after which I developed systemic candidiasis. I was on Diflucan (100 mg 2x a day) for over two months, which only calmed it down some, it is STILL everywhere and I am 6 months post partum.
I started having real issues about 4 months out. I ached, everywhere...Have been constantly cold, even in the heat of summer, and my hair is STILL falling out by the handfuls (even my midwife said this is not from the pregnancy) I now have eczema (which I didnt have til the week before delivery) super heavy periods that will stop all together and then start back up,and wind up lasting 9 days or longer, nearly passing out when standing, low temperature, and bouts of anxiety and panic attacks, and horrible acne. The month of October, I was what I "thought" was back to normal, then 5 days into my period this month (and the day after I had "stopped", only to start again) it hit me like a ton of bricks again. I am just at a loss as to what my problem is. Thyroid (TSH and T4 is fine, they say) and my prog is low, but not gravely so. I do have PCOS, but I don't know how much of that is playing into this.
Anyone have any idea if this may be Addison's? I am being tested for my cortisol and DHEA tomorrow morning (fasting blood) and am trying to figure out if this is even the right road to be on...
Thanks for ANY help!!!
