low cortisol results-7 yr old daughter

Hi, we dont have a diagnosis as yet but looking for some advice please. My 7 yr old daughter became unwell about a year ago and was admitted to hospital very unwell and very lethargic. Blood counts showed she had neutropenia and had lots of tests done. At first they suspected leukemia and I was thankful for a diagnosis of epstein barr virus. She has never been right since and has repeated colds/infections, mouth ulcers, lethargic, leg pains and complaining of unable to walk due to exhaustion. She then had some signs of advanced developement and was referred to an endocrinologist for suspected precocious puberty. She also has terrible mood swings and is very sensitive. She underwent an mri scan and hormone tests- all of which came back normal expect cortisol levels which were very low. We have been booked in again next week to have this checked again along with salt, pottasium etc.She has symptons of headaches, lethergic, dizziness and also like salt!- which i never thought of until when i googled cortisol levels. Also complain of aversion to bright lights especially when the sun is out. Doesnt have pigmented skin though. Any thoughts on this would be appreciated- also how was u diagnosed? Was it straight forward? Could the glandular fever have caused this or could this have been the start? many thanks

Re: low cortisol results-7 yr old daughter

just to add- the test she is having next is syncahten or tetracosactide test. Our endocrinologist hasnt given us much info on what they are looking for or suspecting. Ive had to find out alot by googling "low cortisol". Is this the test they use to diagnose something like addisons disease? Does it sound familiar? thanks
