| Looking for Best Pediatric Endo In U.S.
My 14 year old daughter has Addison's Disease, celiac disease, and tends to be anxious (not uncommon for a celiac, perhaps due to the impaired serotonin absorption in the small intestine). The relationship between these conditions is not being managed by any of her specialists. Each specialist is suggesting I consult with the other.
This was her first week in high school. She is home today, unable to get out of bed. She is nauseous and beyond exhausted. Her hands are trembling. I have stress dosed her all week. Yesterday, she took 70mg of hydrocortisone (her daily dose is 25mg) and still she is wiped out today.
She is being seen currently at Children's Hospital Boston and at Mass General. We live in the Boston area but will go anywhere to have her seen by docs with experience in Addison's Disease and its affect on other conditions.
Can anyone recommend a doctor that they have great confidence in?
