I have the following symptoms and feel like it is an endocrine disorder, but the doc says everything is fine. Do the test results look ok?
- extreme fatigue. After working for about an hour or two, I'm spent for the rest of the day. It takes me a day of doing nothing to fully recover.
- dry heaving ever morning
- diarrhea 3-4 times a day
- frequent urination
- having a flu like feeling almost everyday
Cortisol Basal 16.0 ug/dL
Cortisol Reference Range: AM = 3.4-26.9, PM = 0.9-15.8
Cortisol Post 28.6 ug/dL After 60 minutes.
The crazy thing is that I felt great during the stim test. Felt the most normal I've been for years.
I have Addison's Disease....my symptoms went on almost a year before being diagnosed....severe weight loss, unexplainable fatigue, shortness of breath, felt faint upon standing and my skin was so dark people thought I lived in the tanning bed.......
the ACTH stimulation test should be greater than 18 - 20 mcg/dL, depending on the dose of cosyntropin used. so i'd say you're fine buter I'm not a doctor. Mine went to 6 after the injectionn and was less than 5 to begin with. MY ACTH level was 608.
