I have had a really weird feeling in my head since last year near August I had tonsillitis and I have had it since then and it hasn't gone away. I learnt to live with it a bit but lately it has been really bad and had shaking fits and things. I get disoriented and I feel like I'm in a dream all the time. I've been to hospital and am getting a ct scans of my adrenal glands and have just recently been diagnosed with celiacs disease well not diagnosed but they think I might and I've been on a gluten free diet and have to go back for another gastroscopy and things. I just can't put up with this feeling in my head anymore. Sometimes I feel faint then get nausea and I just recently had a synacthen test and had a reaction then another reaction a few days later my skin would flush and get blotches I'd shake a lot and get nausea. Since then the head feeling is worse please help me
I am also from Aus and have a weird feeling in my head. I have been looking for answers for a long time but am now thinking it is from my ear. Do you have ear problems?
I was thinking also maybe when you had tonsillitis you had antibiotics. if that were so, it could have messed up your digestive system. Maybe you could see a naturopath or natural doctor who could help with your digestion and you may feel a lot better. If you digestion is bad that messes up your whole body. You have talked about being on a gluten free diet, I think that is a good idea and can only help your health. It is not that hard. try to eat natural foods rather than commercial alternatives.
Good luck with it. Hope you find some answers soon.

Yeah i do have problems with my ears they get really bad when i have a cold like they get blocked and pop and stuff and every time i swallow they crackle all the time but im just used to it now. Theyre pretty sensitive to certain noises too.
also when I've told doctors about my ears they look in them and just say nah theyre ok and brush me off :/ the doctors here arent the best
Well that is interesting. I am sorry but I think you are lucky to find good doctors. I sympathise with your weird head because if is like mine it is not nice. I reckon mine started as a teenager. When I did try to find a solution I was told it was anxiety so let go. But over the last few years I have had other problems too. I am only now putting all down to my ear.
I have been to four ear nose and throat specialists now. The fourth was the only one who was at all interested. He had had some problem with misdiagnosis of gluten intolerance many years ago and was a bit sympathetic. I have told the doctors my ear had felt odd for years. I suggest you see if you can get a hearing test and tymphanogram where they measure the pressure in your ear. It should be the same in both ears. Mine has been abnormal in my right ear, that indicates that there may be fluid in the middle ear. The eustachian tube is obviously not working properly. Ear problems can also cause nausea. This would be one not too serious thing that would make you feel weird in the head. I don't think the doctors understand how weird it feels. You would have to experience it to understand. I am also sensitive to many sounds. I wear ear plugs all the time. So don't worry too much and get your ears checked is my advice.
Thanks Gjoy. Another problem I have been having with this though is when I go to sleep just as I am about to fall asleep I get an adrenaline rush and feel faint and weird feeling all through my body. Anyone know what I can do about this?
