| 2 years of dizziness/unsteadiness body nervous even though I am not ok
Ok. I am a 43 year old female with a 4 year old. I eat very well, no fast food, exercise every day (cycling, yoga, boot camp). & weigh 118 pounds. All of this started in aug 2009. I had been feeling slightly unsteady in yoga prior but thought it was me trying to balance. In Aug 2009 I was in Home Depot talking to a salesman and i felt this surge in my body that radiated from my heart area to my arms. I rushed out of the store and drove myself to the ER. My blood pressure was elevated but EKG was fine. Sent me home telling me it was a panic attack. Went to my primary who did tons of bloodwork, echocardiogram and sent me to an ENT and Endocrinologist. My ENT ordered a MRI and VNG which both came back fine. Endo found I am in perimenopause but nothing else. I have been feeling off balance ever since. One day when I was taking my urinalysis back I dropped into her office because I felt SO sick and unsteady. She put me on Lexapro and Metoprolol because my blood pressure has never went back down. In the summer of 2010 my hair started falling out and thankfully I have lots. I felt OK but never good for about 10 months. Now in December I had a major unsteady attack and it is getting worse. I have head pressure at the top of my head not headaches and feel like I am drunk. What is weird is that my body feels extremely panicked even though I am not. Also, here is the kicker I cannot sit and talk to anyone or go shopping as I can't sit still or focus. Had to quit my job. Went to a neurotologist who said I have vestibular neuritis? Put me on Valium 2mg twice a day. Not working. I still feel dizzy and nervous. My chest is tight. My blood pressure last weekend was 158/105. I want to work again. Does it sound like a tumor? Seeing another neurologist tomorrow but no one can figure it out? Can u have generalized anxiety and not be an anxious person. I look on boards all the time when not playing with my son. Someone said get another MRi and MRA? If Valium isn't working is there something better that doesn't cause weight gain ?
