Almost 3 months ago I was diagnosed with Hashimotos/Hypothyroidism. After being treated with both synthroid and Cytomel my thyroid levels are now all in the range of normal (TSH .67, T3 1.07, FT4 1.15).
I am now being evaluated for possible adrenal insuffiency. I have partial results from my ACTH stimulation test and I am wondering if you can share your impressions. I am still waiting for the results of my ACTH level, but here what I have:
Baseline Cortisol 11.3 I went up to 26.9. So clearly my addrenals responded. My question is what are your impression from my baseline? Is 11.3 combined with NUMEROUS low adrenal symptoms enough to suggest possible secondary adrenal insuffuency?
Current Symptoms: tired, dizzy, low bp, low heart rate, weakened vision, weakness, exercise intolerance, 17lb weight loss over 8 weeks (I am 5'6 and I now weigh 110), light headed upon standing...like I said lots of symptoms...
