 very low cortisol
My morning basal cortisol test results:
37.6 nmol
0.28 ug/dl
ACTH stimulation test:
8am: 17.3 nmol
After injection: 96.7 nmol
All my test results show very low cortisol. However, for some reason I have gained weight rather than losing. I have edema and red stretch marks in body. I have taken evohaler very rarely when I have asthma problem. My doctor thinks my low cortisol is due to my evohaler intake. But I have never taken evohaler in high dose or for a long time. I am confused. Is my doctor right? Shouldn't he consider any other possibility? I have weakness and this swelling of feet gives me pain! My face swells up and I am losing hair. Losing weight becoming impossible. Recently having sudden abdominal pain. Can someone suggest or help me?
