My father recently became sick and he's been visiting doctors twice a week, but they can't seem to find anything wrong. He tends to become easily tired, have an increase in appetite, have excessive sweating, and he's been falling down a lot. Also he caught a cold, but it's becoming serious, and I'm beginning to think it's pneumonia. He also has type 2 diabetes, but the doctors tested his blood sugar level and everything else to be normal.
How old is your father?
Is your father on diabetes meds, if so what?
Does your dad eat right to control diabetes?
Does your dad exercise?
What is his A1C?
What is his bloodsugar levels fasting, 2 hrs. after meals?
Does he check his bloodsugar on regular basis?
It could be that his diabetes is not really under control. He could be having spikes and drops in blood sugar levels causing the symptoms.
Thanks a lot for the responses, but while I was surfing around, I came upon transient ischemic attacks. The symptoms that he's been expriencing fit this perfectly. I brought him to the doctor's today after work and spent 6 hours in the emergency room with him. I told the doctor's about TIA, but they ignored it until they realized the possibility of him having it. Now he's going to be in the hospital for the next few days for more tests, and I hope that they're able to treat it.
