You have to shave your legs more than once a day??? I'm 43 and have shaved my legs almost every single day of my life since I was probably 10...I've never given it a minutes though...it's just something I have to do.
Yes, waxing does take longer for the hair to grow back in. It hurts pretty bad though. Sometimes the pain is worth it though. I always had my bikini line done and decided to go ahead and try the legs. It hurt worse than the bikini line. I had one strip done and made her stop. I have to shave daily. My underarms are the worst. By the end of the day, I need to shave them again. I still only do it once though. I just keep my arms down so nobody can see it! lol!
Hairy today and bald legs in your 60-70 age. You do have relief ahead of you!!
Remember, hairy legs means you have great circulation in your legs. If there is no hair on your toes it means you have poor circulation/oxygen in that area.
try an exfoliator sponge after everytime you shave it smooths the skin and the hairs dont grow back as quickly. I do this on my legs, underarms and bikini area.
I am 42 wear short skirts and shorts throughout the summer and dont worry about the stubble till the next morning. there are far worse things to be worrying about.
take care

Get over it! And what's this have to do with "aging" anyway?
I shave my legs every time I shower. That means I do it at LEAST once a day and if I'm getting dressed up for an evening out, I'll do it a shave again ... for the second time that day. Some people are hairy, some aren't.
When younger I had to shave every day, sometimes more than once. I think that is true for most women. Men shave their faces, women shave their legs and underarms. I would shave my legs in the morning and by the time I got home from work, stubble was coming through my hose. I never gave it a second thought. Now that I am a senior citizen, I shave once a month, if that. No hormones - no hair. Regards, Lil
I've been doing the hair lazer removal (Elase). It's every 8 weeks for a year - I paid $1,400 for 6 sessions (bottom half of legs).
The only time I shave is the night before I go in for my treatment. It hurts like a mother, but I tell you, it has been worth it. My legs are so smooth.
I have tried evry method of hair removal and nothinhg seems to work for me. shaving gives me a rash(i always use plenty of shaving gel), I get itchy ingrown hairs from waxing(even proffesionaly done!) and creams just dont seem to be that effective.
I exfoliate 2 or 3 times a week and use nice products on my body.
Anyone got any advice?

I always got a rash, but it wasn't from shaving (except the bikini area) it was from lotions. I could never apply anything to my legs for hours after shaving until I discovered oils. I apply jojoba oil immediately after shaving without a problem. I've also used camellia oil. I'm sure olive oil and others would work just as well.
I hate my hairy legs!! I'm still trying to find a solution to my legs. I shave in the morning, it'll last until evening. But even if i shave in the morning, you can still see my ingrown hair. I WISH i had legs like some girls where they shave and you can't see anything, it's just silky and smooth. I've tired waxing, but even with wax, the lady COULDN'T get all the hair because there were some short ones. And yes, i've waited for awhile before i went in to get a wax. If anyone have any solution please, i'm all ears.
