Navneet 95,

If you're only 95, you probably don't need it yet. But seriously, your question assumes that "antiwrinkle" creams work. Where is there any proof that they work, other than those who give subjective impressions of improvement or whatever?

If you don't have any wrinkles and you start using "antiwrinkle" cream, what should you believe when you don't get wrinkles? A) It worked or B) You wouldn't have gotten wrinkles anyway, even without the cream.

Re: age to start using antiwrinkle creams

Antiwrinkle creams are a scam to steal womens' money. They don't have men's antiwrinkle creams because men are smart and not gullible like women. Mature women are beautiful, enjoy your wrinkles.

First to answer where is the proof that they work. My face I am 44-years-old and do not look older than 30 and some even confuse me for younger.

Start using them now. Purchase the over-the-counter products they work just as good as the expensive ones. I personally love Oil of Olay products, but I have dabbled with some of Suave's and have found that they work just as well.

The key is to keep the facial area moisture balance just right to deter wrinkles for a long time to come.

Re: age to start using antiwrinkle creams

I agree with navneet! I have used face cream daily for the the last 20+years..I will be forty this year, and people do not believe me at all about my age. It's never too early or late to start. I use INEXPENSIVE face creams. Oil of Olay has a cream that offers both anti-wrinkle and UVA protection ---very important if you want to reduce the chance of wrinkles. But, it is important to start before the wrinkles appear...I don't know how good the creams work on shrinking deep existing wrinkles. We can age beautifully if we protect our skin!

Re: age to start using antiwrinkle creams

I'm over 40years, I've had one heck of a life.
I've lived thru stuff I wouldn't have believed true if I hadn't seen it or had the police tell me the tragidies.
I've always believed that using a good face cream (not nessiccarily a well known one, just one I like the comfort of) in windy weather I go for a moisterizer before & after being outside.
otherwise I use a face cream 2x daily.
I look young for my age. I suggest you think about being on HRT first. thats the time just before menopause, then anti-wrinkle cteam will be the thing.
Anti-wrinkle cream is formulated for women whose body is going through the hormonal changes of menopause & are no good to younger women.
I saw a person who used nothing all thier lives & really looked old. the dermatologist said this person was suffering from "sun exposiour damage" caused thr years of not using a high enough sun block on thier face. she had something called a successful face peel )although it took 3 weeks she now looks younger than me.
younger skin is more delicate than skin of say a 50yr old & the skin of a 70yr old goes back to being very delicte in some women.

Re: age to start using antiwrinkle creams

Cannot agree! I am 78, very healthy, look 65, have moisturized for 5 or six years. My wife is 66 and looks between 40 and 45, has moisturized since she was a teenager.
Used various moisturizers but mostly simple Jergans.

Re: age to start using antiwrinkle creams

I have been using face cream for a while and asked a dermatologist about it, they said it is important to use cream with sum block every day because that is what gives you wrinkles..so I started about a year ago...we shall see!

Smile Re: age to start using antiwrinkle creams

I've used moisturisers - once day once night since I was 15. I am now 55 and have good skin because of it but also because I take a pride in my appearance and wear make up every day, it cheers me up makes me feel good about me and I'm 100% sure protects my skin. I've never used anti-wrinkle creams but know someone who did who ended up with more wrinkles than she had! It's like everything some products are going to suit some people some won't. I don't buy the really expensive moisturisers, don't see the point they're just a snap to catch a mackeral. I buy Boots own brand or Avon which are just as good as any.

Re: age to start using antiwrinkle creams

I have been using anti wrinkle creams since I was 18 (I like to use Oil of Olay, nothing too pricey) and to this day I can't say if they work or not. I do know that people still see me as being in my early 20's though (and I am in my 30's!).
