This was started by President Kennedy and was first known as Senior Citizens Month. Then President Carter changed it to Older Americans Month. I predict that it will eventually be changed to Mature Americans Month.
We need to get that word "older" out of there!
As if anyone is paying attention to Older Americans Month anyway.
There's one thing I've been wondering: What're we supposed to do during Older Americans Month? Any ideas? I suppose we could all get together and get older together (synchronized aging). We could have that be part of the senior olympics. We will all be one month older at the end of the month, assuming we make it to the end of the month.
Any other ideas?
