Do I really look my age?

It's so funny that I don't see myself as 51. I know I probally do look my age but when I see other 50ish people, they look so old. I have a feeling if I was in the dating scene I'd be a cougar because men my age look so old.

It all depends on how you took care of urself. I know a guy who is only 38 and he looks almost 50. So it really depends on health and what you do to your body.

Re: Do I really look my age?

Three men being interviewed for TV on a program on longevity. Interviewer say to number one man, how old are you, he says I'm 92. Wonderful she says, how come you look so good. Always wear sun screen, never smoked, one drink a day and always had good organic food, never chased women. Second man, never smoked, never drank, stayed away from women, exercised every day and Im 94. Wonderful!
The third old guy looked awful, resting on a cane and as wrinkled as can be. Interviewer says, tell me about your life. He says, Ive never used sunscreen, smoked and drank since I was a teenager, lived on french fries and burgers, never in bed till 2am and chased girls all my life. The interviewer was astounded. Just how old are you.
38 next week!
James

Re: Do I really look my age?

Tamfromt, I can relate to you. I am also 51 and am surprised to see how old a lot of people my age look. I probably look old, too but I don't see it. On the other side, people do age differently. I have a friend the same age as myself and I swear that she looks as she could be the daughter os some other women the same age. She has no wrinkles at all and no saggy skin and her body is very slim and fit. So, it all depends on the genes and how you are taking care of yourself. Now I wish that somebody had told me to use sunscreen because I didn't for years.

Re: Do I really look my age?

Lately people much older than I look younger to me than I do.
I am really discouraged because over and over people guess me to look older then I am. If one person asks if one is 65 or older, then you could say well maybe it's just them and they made a mistake, but if several people take you to be older then you are, then it's no mistake. I don't see myself as old as they see me. I keep asking myself what is making me look much older than I am?

Re: Do I really look my age?

Great for you, I bet you have taken good care of yourself. I go on the internet and the massive information on anti-aging is overwhelming. Have you found some good info?

Re: Do I really look my age?

I am 27 and people think i am 19-18. I used to look like my age when I was 170lbs but i dropped down to 120lbs. This is most likely the reason.
