Has any one ever experienced a slight burning sensation in their lungs or tightening of their chest when experiencing other allergy related symptoms? I had been experiencing the lightheadedness and sinus congestion that many of you have also mentioned, but occasionally my lungs and chest seem to be affected. Thanks in advance for any responses.
Yes - I have a tightened chest with my lightheadedness, also clearing of throat and constant cough. I have these all of the time, because my allergy is 24/7 year round. The Chlorotrimeton gives relief from the really bad symptoms. The Lightheadedness and Headaches.
Thanks for your replies. It's very reassuring to know that others are sharing the same symptoms and that I'm not going crazy. Allergies and sinus problems can play tricks with your mind. Did you both develop your allergies later in life, or did you have them since childhood?
I had no allergies until I was away from Minnesota in the Navy for 3 years. I lived in Florida. The first year that I moved back to Minnesota I became allergic to the pollen from hardwoods in the spring. I was 23 then.
Then at age 46 I developed the 24/7 year round allergy - The lightheaded, headache, nausea, cough, clearing of throat, tightness of chest deal. That was 4 years ago and the Chlorphen (generic for C-trimton) was the lifesaver for me.
According to my allergist, the older you get the more likely that you will develop additional allergies.
