eyes swell and itch, skin under nose dry flakey - Allergies Message Board

don't know if its food intolerance, or allergy to dust.
after eating certain foods or drinking wine or coffee
the skin under my eyes starts to become red and inflammed, very itchy for 3 to 4 days then when healing the skin gets very dry & flakey, also skin under my nostrils very dry and flakey. now i developed a rash behind my ear lobes. have been using an ointment which helps clear that but when i think its healed it happens again. also when eat certain foods get stomach cramps shortness of breath. i did go get an allergy test, came up allergic to dust mites. but i think its food also. does anyone know?

Did you take a food allergy test too? If not, you probably should. Are you taking any medication?

yes, the allergist tested me for food allergies but it didn't show any reactions. should i get tested for food allergies by a blood test instead? i have been taking prescription diet pills on and off for over two years.

are you using any face creams that contain sunscreens?
I have started experiencing similar skin problems due to one of the ingredients.

no i haven't used any with sunscreen. i usually us mary kay products.
