this has been happening to my boyfriend for over a year now, and he is a healthy male in his 40s. the only problem he has (but has always had, it's nothing new) is that only one of his sinus' works properly (he breathes best from one nostril).. i wonder if that might have something to do with this? but he has always had this problem ... and the nausea/sneezing has only been going on for a year or so... any ideas? |
I am new on the board, but found an entry from someone named Ruth with the same problem (1999). Another boardmember named Mark (I think) said he also had the condition. I am 60 and have experienced this condition for over 30 years. About 5 years ago I was diagnosed with Acid Reflux and told that I had a hiatal hernia. During the last few years this condition - the nausea - can go on for hours. Still, once I sneeze, I usually have about five really hard ones, and I am fine. Occassionally the nausea will actually result in vomiting if I just can't sneeze. In the last year I have considered forcing a sneeze with pepper or something like that.
Anyway, I also have photic sneezing. Going from darkness to bright sunshine will make me sneeze. Does anyone else have this?
