I just found out that my insurance will no longer cover nonsedating antihistamines like the Allegra I'm taking. Claritin doesn't work for me. Can anyone suggest something else for me to try?

Stop taking meds altogether and use nssal irrigation. Since irrigating, I have been meds free since May 03. It is an awesome alternative. My insurance even paid for my irrigation kit my allergist gave me.

Really? I tried nasal irrigation once and it hurt so bad I couldn't stand it.

Look for a naturopath in your area that does NAET, give them a call and ask them questions about it.
A lot of people in my community have had great results.

I'm going through the treatments right now - have one more left. I can fill you in on how it worked for me once it's over, but right now my body is doing a lot of purging of old toxins, but I have had bad allergies and asthma for 35 years. People who have suffered from seasonal allergies have not had to experience what I am right now. Guess it depends on each individual.

My allergist just took me off allegra and now has me mixing astelin & nasorel together in one bottle and using it twice a day.

It works better then the allegra ever did.
