Do your symptoms coinside w/pollen counts? - Allergies Message Board

I was wondering if you check local pollen counts and if your symptoms are in fact worse when a pollen count for whatever you are allergic to is high??

Also, where do you go to check your pollen count for your area?

Regarding higher sensitivity with higher pollen counts, it's hard for me to advise b/c I have so many other allergies besides pollen. I'm pretty sure that the weather channel's website has a link to pollen count information for different areas.

Yes!! Whenever the pollen count is high my allergy symptoms are in full swing. I get wheezy breathing (I'm asthmatic)/chesty + extremely blocked nose. Only occurs when the pollen count is high.

I check my local pollen counts in the newspaper.

Not all the time. I just checked the pollen count for Phoenix, AZ and it says nothing is in season. How can that be??? There are trees blooming all over the place. We got up into the 80's last week.

I go to the weather channel's website and click on allergies and then you enter your zip code. However, I am not trusting this to be a reliable source at the moment.

Yes they are! I have perennial(year round) and seasonal(spring,summer,fall) allergies so they are much worse during high pollen times. I'm not sure of what pollens i'm allergic to actually, I just found that my worse days seemed to coincide with high pollen counts. I check the weather channel's website, usually it has something you can click on for allergies/pollen.
