I always have mucus...why?

I always have a stuffy nose..everyday...I either have dry mucus or runny nose....I can never breath thru my nose clearly..does sinus cause bad breath?...is there something I can take?

Re: I always have mucus...why?

How old are you? How much water do you drink every day, if any? If necessary, increase your water intake, take 1000Mg's of Ester C daily, and try Claratin allergy medicine for about 5 to 10 days and see if your mucus and sinus situation improves...
As far as bad breath, your breathing through your mouth, because your nose is clogged with mucus. Your mouth dries out, and bad breath is created. You may have poor mouth hygene/gum diasease, another cause of bad breath

Re: I always have mucus...why?

Me too!! I think if you live by something that is an allergin to you, you will just have mucus! I have it all the time, too! It sucks--and mine can be dry vs runny...when it's allergies, It's runny and then my eyes get red and sometimes even my face. Do you ever feel pressure in your head, or facial bones or forehead? That is sinus related if you do, especailly in the morning or when you first lay down to try to sleep at night...I say try to b/c for me I used to have to go through like 4 HANKIES before I could go to bed. and yeah, sinuses do cause bad breath, I can always tell when my hubby has an infection. although it might make you think you've got a rotten tooth it can hurt your mouth so bad, but again that is sinus pressure.
