cetirizine/Zyrtec and red wine problem - Allergies Message Board

Hi!
I've been googling for an hour before and I find that... my problem is very unusal indeed :P, so let me know if you experienced something similar.
When I drink red wine during the period of taking Zyrtec I have very strange symptoms. My heart begin to beat very quickly, I fear hot all over my body... that makes me get awake in the night. These symptoms normally occur 1-2 hour after drinking 2 glasses of red wine. Surprisingly, that do not happen when I drink white wine or other alcohol beverages.

Any ideas?

You do realize you shouldn't mix alcohol and Zyrtec, right?

Yeah, I do not drink wine less than 2 hour before/after taking drug. There is only one information about interaction of Zyrtec and alcohol: the feeling of sleepness. Thus, it doesn't happen to me.
