hi all- Im really confused, I am having really bad headaches. I had 3 cat scans showing some infection not severe, took meds with no relief, had sinus surgery still no relief 2 weeks after surgery I showed infection in same sinuses and the same amount of infection. changed ents tried new antibiotic with no relief countless nose sprays, steriods, nasal washes. have had mri showing everything is fine. my nose doesnt seem to be working, I can breathe thru nose but have no nasal drainage very seldom sneeze and my nose feels very dry. have taken migraine meds, ease some of the ache but does nothing for the pressure. I have never had any problems like this before until a year ago. Ive been told I was depressed so I said let me try some meds but I really dont think that is the problem sure enough no results. all blood work seems to be fine. but I know something is wrong. drs all seem to think Im nuts cause nothing helps not even pain killers or muscle relaxers. I just had some allergy tests done it showed some allergies but not very serious .asperigullis mold was my most sensitive reaction. I have fatigue off and on sometimes cant sleep, dont always feel all here, moody, diaherrea then constipation and that constant headache that wont go away. Thanks all for listening, Ive had a really bad year and not much relief. If any one has suggestion to the cause or can share any info. I would greatly appreciate it.

Have you thought of going for alternative treatments to help with the headaches? The headaches might be something new as in not related to your allergies but it can be too. Are your headaches; migranies, cluster headaches..etc? Since your headaches have persisted for about a year, have you gone to see or thought of seeing a neurologist?

yes, I have seen a neuro. she gave me three different meds with no result. I dont have nausea, light sensitivety, or the shooting eye pains. nor is it one sided. it is behind my nose like pulsing with pressure sometimes it is more than others but never fully goes away. also the pain will build to the top of my head and my neck will ache. ive even been given meds for tension headaches, no help.

It seems to me that it is allergy/sinus related if your ct scans are showing an infection. It's a little disturbing that after your sinus surgery, the infection reappeared. I don't want to scare you, but have you thought about sick building syndrome? It is usually caused by molds in buildings NOT neccesaritly toxic molds, just a build up of garden variety mold. The fact that you were very sensitive to mold on your allergy test makes me suspicious of this. Have you moved into a new house, or gotten a new job within the last year? When/where do your headaches start, and when/where do they go away?

Fifteen years ago, when I was in junior high, I was getting headaches almost everyday, and often felt very ill. when I would go to the nurse to get tylenol for the headaches, she would often send me home b/c my temperature was 100-101 degrees. The doctor told my mom, it was all psychological and actually wrote a note saying that the nurse shouldn't send me home unless my temp was 102 or higher! When I went to highschool, the headaches mysteriously stopped. About 2 years ago, my mom told me my junior high was being cleaned up and renovated because it had been identified as a "sick building" I felt so vindicated, I wanted to go and punch that pediatrician who said it was all in my head.

Another possibility is that you are just really sensative to mold in the air. Do you live in a humid climate? Despite shots, my allergies were at their worst when I lived in the South. The shots worked great for me with pollens, but not so well on the mold. In this case, a Hepa filter in your home might really help you.

I know how frustrating it is not to be able to figure out what is wrong. good luck and keep us posted.
