My sister has pretty severe allergies. Shes very allergic to pet dander and cigarette smoke. She has taken multiple perscriptions and gotten shots for almost a year now and they dont seem to be making a difference. She has a little air purifier in her room and stuff but it doesnt seem to help. I am wondering if anyone has any herbal based remedies I can suggest to her that might help out.

What happens to her when she encounters cigarette smoke, asthma?
It's not a herbal based remedy, but I had acupuncture treatments for my sinus allergies, and they really helped relieve my sinus problems. My asthma problems were greatly reduced when we got rid of our wall to wall carpetting, and our upholstered furniture.
thats funny, I actually just had acupuncture for the first time today and it was very relaxing...I was going to ask how effective it was for allergy/sinus problems.

she gets stuffed up and sneezy with a runny nose.
How long was your treatment? Did they use needles with current, a heat lamp, or electro-pads on you?
How did they locate the acu-points, by hand or with a probe?
Just curious. Both my wife, and I, have had great results from acupuncture.
Do you still have a pet in your house? Shots are good, but allergy avoidence is still the best solution. What brand air purifier does she have, and what prescriptions is she taking?
