Climate change

I moved to Seattle From NY few months ago. Past two months my allergies and sinus's have been killing me. Must be all the rain and dampness here. I tried OTC meds like Sudafed, Benadryl, Aleve Allergy & Sinus and nothing helps. I went to see my new doc here and she put me on Alegra D but this isnt helping either. I am so tired of being so stuffy, blowing nose every 5 mins, sneezing, eyes watering. AHHH I cant take it...Anything you guys can suggest until i get back int my doc to see what my oter options are.

Re: Climate change

Irrigate sinuses morning and night with "salt water". This will clean out the allergens and give some relief.

I use 1 cup boiled water, 1/2 teaspoon salt, mix well, strain thru paper coffee filter, fill clean nasal spray bottles, LET COOL. To use: lie on bed on back with head handing off, squirt a few times in each nostril, turn head slowly side to side, say "kkkkk" while getting up to prevent solution from running down throat, gently blow nose as needed. This will clean out mucous caused by the allergy. Salt is healing.

Make fresh salt water every week since there are no preservatives.

Wink Re: Climate change

I feel your pain, sister. I just moved from Sunny California to Dismal wintry Southern Illinois. Now I feel like I smoked a bunch of reef and stared at the sun for two hours. Still craving the Cali sunlight. Eek. The things you'll do for love.
