Swollen hands and feet with red blotches - Allergies Message Board

Last night my eye lids were swollen with red blotches on them. Then when I woke up this morning my hands and feet were very swollen and I had red itchy blotches all over me. I think it is from a new cold medicine I was taking. Alka seltzer cold and cough. I was wondering does anyone know how to get rid of the swelling and red itchy blotches...Please help

If the problem is caused by a medicine, stopping the medicine should make a difference. Will take a few days for all of the medicine to get out of your system.

If stopping the medicine does not help, better see doctor for proper diagnosis.
In other words, if you do not see improvement in 24 hrs. see your doctor.

A good thing to take anytime that you are having any type of allergic reaction is benadryl. It should help greatly.

thanks eyeryone, yeah I went to a drug store and asked the pharmacy. They told me to take benadryl and drink lots of water to flush the medicine I was allergic to out of my system. It has been 2 days now and it is almost totally gone benadryl is great!
