I am convinced that there is a small group of us, that for whatever reason, don't exhibit a lot of inflamation, and even if they have a bad infection, it never shows up on the CT scan. Even with my surgery, my CT scan looked pretty good. The ENT was only going to operate on a turbinate, he wasn't even going to touch my sinuses. But I and my allergy doctor persisted, so the ENT agreed to open up my maxilary sinus and "just take a look" He ended up removing a ton of gunk. The nurse even commented to me that it took him longer than normal.
I don't know what causes it. Maybe all the allergy drugs we take. I just had another CT done after getting my first infection since my surgery. I didn't take any of my meds for 2 days to see if maybe that would help my results any. We'll see.
