Food allergies and foreign travel

If you're traveling to a country where you don't speak the language and you have food allergies there's a good web site you should look at . They sell food translation cards where you can pick the foods you're allergic to. I had one made for a trip to Europe.

Has anyone had an allergy reaction in a foreign country? If so, what happened?
