Hi everybody,

I am finishing up 20 days of ketek post sinus surgery. And I can still feel that there is infection. I am calling my ent tomorrow.

So I have had an almost constant infection since December. Had surgery on July 1 to reduce turbinates (only real problem on the ct scan) and have had this post surgical infection since.

I have been on biaxin, ceftin, augmentin and ketek all for long courses of treatment. Cant do the quinolones since they make me nutsy.

Any advice? I am going to ask about culturing what is in my nose, ask about using peroxide. Wonder if I am heading for IV's. How the heck did you get rid of this crap?

I Have Had The Sinus Surgery And Its Not Alot Of Fun. It Did Not Cure Mine, Ive Had 5 Or 6 Cts Been On Every Antibiotic On The Market The Only Thing That Helped Me Was Daily Saline Rinses Every Day, Which That Is Required After The Packing Is Removed After The Surgery. Please Look Into This Site Www.hydromedonline.com Or Look Up Hydro Pulse In Yahoo. If I Could Go Back In Time I Would Never Had Surgery, This Machine Has Helped Me Alot, No Sinus Infection In Over 5 Months Thats Super For Me Seeing I Always Kept One Even Months After Surgery.look Into This An Talk It Over With Your Ent.
