'tis the season for bronchitis - Allergies Message Board

Great. Two people at my work have gotten bronchitis. It figures the girl, who is sick, has to be working with me. I'm really scared with my allergies and asthma, already, that I will have a higher chance of developing it. She works at the desk, but I work all the way in the back of the tanning salon. But the place is still small. This is all that I need. But I've known so many people who have gotten it this past month. I wonder if it's from all of the poor air quality.

You need to start taking extra vitamin C and echinacea right now and your might not get it... Take megadoses of C!! It really works!

Is she on Antibiotics? If so I wouldn't stress too much. She shouldn't be contagious after 48 hours on the meds.

A lot of the time though bronchitis is viral and antibiotics will not work.

It's pretty hard to catch bronchitis. "Bronchitis" just means inflamation of the bronchi, not something contageous. The colds and flus that *may* lead to it are contageous, but bronchitis itself isn't. Glad to see you so concerned for your health, Ima, but I've seen lots of posts on all these boards, maybe you worry a little too much
