Holy Cow, was this an allergic reaction? - Allergies Message Board

I love milk, especially ice cream, so yesterday i bought some breyers ice cream and ate about 1/3 of the half gallon. But about 10 min later I was having intense drainage accompanied by a very very itchy throat!

Then today after I worked out I got my usual protein shake, which has milk in it. i was driving and all of a sudden I felt a lump in my throat which made me throw up this ball of mucus, my throat is itchy again from drainage but as a severe as it was from the ice cream.

I've never had this problem, but this was the first time in a long time that I ate that much ice cream lol im def not touching milk for a long time, at least until i meet with my natureopath!

i'm getting blood work done for food allergies this friday, so i wonder ...

if you already had some drainage from allergies or a cold it is possible that it irritated it worse since milk will coat your throat and could cause it to be more irritated.
