swollen nostril

two months ago i tried sticking my finger up my right nostril and noticed that it was like swollen inside.. its painless but its swollen and i donno if its a deviated septum cuz im not too sure wat it is... im also pretty congested

and i also thnik i have chronic bronchitis cuz i have a cough that ive had for a while and sometimes wen i swallow i get a bad taste in my mouth.. im pretty sure these things are unrelated but like three days ago i got a sore throat accompanied with a swollen node on the right side of my neck under my ear... im pretty sure the node is swollen cuz of my sore throat but im just scared because im thinkin that the node might be related to the swollen right nostril...

since they are on the same side i keep thinking it might be a tumor in my nose and thats why i got the swollen node.. but at the same time they might be completely unrelated and the node is just cuz of my sore throat..

my main concern is my nose though, cuz i dont kno why its swollen inside.. any input would be greatly appreciated

Re: swollen nostril

Sounds like you may have a sinus infection. The taste you taste is probably post nasal drip. Post nasal drip can cause a sore throat. Sinus drainage can go into your chest and cause bronchitis.

Re: swollen nostril

I guess I wasn't clear, but the swollen nostril is a symptom of a sinus infection. Infections can cause swelling. It also is possible your turbinates are enlarged, possibly from allergies.

Re: swollen nostril

If you do have a sinus infection, you need to se a doctor for the diognosis and medication. Sinus infections do not go away on there own. You need an antibiotic.
