Allergies? Please Help! - Allergies Message Board

I can't figure out what's going on with me. My throat has been feeling like it's closing up, burning, and like there's something stuck in it. In addition to this, I have been having a loss of appetite and it's hard to eat. My stomach keeps getting this heavy feeling. These feelings come and go. My throat is the main problem. I went to the doctor about my throat a while back (at that time, I was having the closing up feeling and pain in my throat with these white things sticking to my tonsils and blister-like bumps on my tonsils) and I had a test for strep, but I didn't have strep. My doctor said he had no idea what was wrong with my throat, but he said it could have to do with allergies since my sinuses were slightly irritated. He gave me Flonase to try, but the feelings went away so I didn't use it. In the last week, my throat has started the closing up, burning and feeling like there was something stuck in it. Could this be allergies?

If it is allergies, it is a severe allergic reaction. You need to go back to the doctor right away.

Also you can have a bad bacterial infection in your throat and not have strep, it has happened to me. Were you given antibiotics.

No, my doctor didn't give me any antibiotics. He just told me he had no idea what was wrong with my throat and to just use Flonase since my sinuses were slightly irritated. For almost two weeks now these feelings come and go quite a bit. Has anyone else ever experienced this?
