White sticky mucous - anyone get these? - Allergies Message Board

I have had this type of mucous for years but it never bothered me much before. This year I have had more of this mucous along with sinus/congestion problems. Just wondering if anyone with allergies has this type of mucous. It is milk white in color, sticky and stretchy like glue. It used to come just from my nose, now my post-nasal drip also has some white stuff.

I believe that is normal if you have allergies, especially if you're constantly blowing your nose. I was under the impresion that the white mucus is just fresh (as it is fresh and you're blowing it out when it's fresh as opposed to dry mucus) as to why its not the typical crusty green.

all the time. It's normal for allergy mucus to be white. Infected mucus is yellow or green.
