| Re: Peanut Allergy
lol, well thats funny, he is really scary, I eat things that were made at the same place as peanuts. and don't always have a problem. if you could eat peanuts before with out a problem, then I don't think you will just die. for myself I have never been able to eat ANY peanuts. as soon at it touches my toung I feel itchy. I can't even finish chewing it. the one time I did finish chewing it and ate it, I did end up in the hospital. if it is a bowl of peanuts the smell can cause a reaction of swelling and itchiness in my neck.
if I get away from it fast and treat it. I'm usually fine. if I was locked in a room with peanuts, and didn't even eat them, I think it would kill me. trust me, YOU KNOW if you have a peanut allergy. if it gets in my mouth Which happens LOTS because sometime people don’t say “may contain peanuts” or “has peanuts” especially if you buy something made at a bakery. I hate it because I can eat all nuts, just not peanuts. And I have bought cake with “nuts” but I guess they figure if they say “nuts, that also means peanuts” but it DOES NOT.
so peanuts are everywhere, you will one day come in contact, don't be so worried you are going to die. you are only stressing your self out, and you might end up living in a bubble. lol
another thing you can do is try it. you will see what is bad, can you sit by a bowl of peanuts? what if you lick peanut butter?? if you feel itchy, you need to first get it ALL OUT, I rinse my mouth with pop/Coke since it is one of the most corrosive things out there. and it works fast to destroy the peanut so I don't have to go to the hospital, I also take allergy pills.
because I know how bad my allergies are, I would NEVER eat peanuts on purpose. but I have had a baby sitter say "maybe she has grown out of it" and fed me a peanut butter sandwich" so I have been in contact with this deathly food, and I know exactly what to do, how fast to do it, and I also don't carry an eppy pen, although my doctor tells me I should.
The thing is, I think you should try it, (SAFELY) if you really don’t know, I don’t even know if you will even know if what a peanut allergy is for you. And if you don’t feel safe about trying one bite and waiting, then DON”T DO IT. but I don’t go and read the back of everything incase of peanuts. And I have never had a problem. Only once I ate something that didn’t have any peanuts and it caused a peanut allergy, but it was such a small amount, all I did was drink pop and pop a pill and I was fine. The worst is things that don’t have labels. And you can’t just avoid everything.
I think you need to know how to handle it. did your doc even tell you what level your peanut allergy is? because I did a scratch test on cats came back really bad. if my doctor knew I had a few of them, I think he would say I should be dead too. lol I have had doctors always scary me too and my mom, she will die, if this and this, people die because of this and this. And it is enough for me to get an eppy pen. But if your doc doesn’t think you need an eppy pen, then I would worry to much about dyeing.
