I'd say it's the reverse... that allergies create tonsillitis.
At least that was the case for me... with post nasal drip,
the tonsils are infected and become swollen and gradually
eaten away at by the nasal drip acid.
People with sinusitis often have tonisillitis. They go hand
in hand. At 35, I had a sinus operation which removed
fungus balls and polyps, then after recovering, two months
later had my tonsils removed. Doing so has helped end
what apnea I also encountered.
