whats wrong with me?? - Allergies Message Board

Every time I do yard work(mowing ,weed-eating) a couple days later my shoulder and neck muscles ache very bad,have a head ache on the back of my head,am cold down my back,a fever and sweating,very thirsty ,also very tired.Cant function for a couple days.Then everything goes back to normal.This has been going on for a year. Drs dont know what it is...

Have you been tested for outdoor allergies like grass, any green etc???? Do you sneeze or feel lousy not long after? It seems odd that it lingers. It seems your pain would go hand in hand with the actually yard work (muscles) you are using. But I don't know about the fever etc...that seems odd. And you say it clears. That is a mystery. But good news that it clears up. That is why it seems like an allergy. wow I don't know... maybe someone here has had a similiar experience. Good luck!

I have gotten yard work headaches for years, even before I started getting allergy symptoms. Last year I bought a new mower and was quite surprised upon reading the warnings in the manual. It said that some people are prone to seizures/headaches when using motorized handheld lawn equipment. It had something to do with the vibration.

I wonder about the position, vibration, and if a chiropractor might help with at least some of those symptoms.
