Probably the post nasal drip from your nose, that is if you have an allergic nose

Re: Why does it seem like I alway have stuff flooded in my throute?

There are two common causes of "post-nasal drip". As Richard mentioned, allergies can cause mucus to run down the back of your nose into your throat. If allergies are the cause of your symptoms you will likely have a runny nose and congestion as well.

The other common cause of excess mucus in the throat is acid reflux. Reflux can create areas of irritation in the throat that your body creates extra mucus to protect. If you don't have allergy symptoms, the excess mucus your experiencing is probably from acid reflux.

You should see a doctor to confirm if it's post-nasal drip or something else. I had that too (with other symptoms) and my doctor said I have rhinitis. It was getting to the point where every time I would lie down, the mucus would accumulate and I would have to cough it out in order to breathe properly. I had to take mucinex every night and now I have to take prescription antihistamines.

Question Re: Why does it seem like I alway have stuff flooded in my throat?

I saw my dr. and he thought it was post nasal drip. I don't buy that. I constantly am trying to clear my throat and my throat is sore. I have that feeling like you have when you are just coming down with a cold and have had it for three months. I take stuff for acid reflux. It makes no difference. Anyone have this problem? Do you have these other symptoms?
