Allergy shots with tyroid medication - Allergies Message Board

Hi,

I was just recently diagnosed with hypothyroidism, and have started taking gereric levoxyl 25mcg. I am at my maintanance dose for my allergy injections which I have been doing for over a year. Can I continue the shots while on the tyroid medication?

I only know of one person who was on synthroid and took allergy shots. It was OK for her. I'd call and ask your allergist to be sure.

I have been on Levoxyl for some time and also get on allergy injections.

Thanks for your replies. I'm glad to hear that it's okay because they have helped me so much I would hate to have to give them up. I will of course mention it to my doctor next week. Thanks again
