Hi

Just wondering if I have an allergy to black fly or whatever bug bites/stings. Everytime I get bit the reaction is worse. Is this a normal black fly bite reaction? I know I have been bitten in the past but never reacted like this.

-First on my neck - neck swelled up
-Then on my eyebrow - swelled to down under my eye where my normal"bags) are.
-Then in the front of my neck and you couldn't even see my collorbone is was so swollen for about a week.
-Now, I got a bite yesterday on the side of my face by the eyebrow. I put alcohol on immediately and then the swelling started. By the time I went to bed it was swollen down under my eye. I took Benedryl and put cold wet paper towels on all night as I couldn't tolerate the weight of a washcloth and today the swelling is worse -- my eye is just about closed and tearing as it is even swollen on the other side of the eye where the tear ducts are. Also, now I am in quite a lot of pain around my eye, maybe because the skin is so stretched from the very large swollen area.

If it is an allergy will it keep getting worse and worse each time I am bit? Mosquitos are out already but this happened in the middle of the day and mosquitos are usually out dawn and dusk. and I did not hear that buzzing sound mosquitos make.

Could I end of getting an anaphalactic reaction if I get bit too many more times. I can't use Deet or any of those repellents as I would break out in a rash from them.
