| Re: allergic rinithis vs. vasomotor
I have both and can tell you that the allergic rhinitis is triggered by pollen and mold while the vasomotor is triggered by perfume, change in climate and chemicals of all sorts. I went on a trip with my husband and we stayed in a nice hotel, but the room we stayed in had brand new rug, so I spent a lot of time on the staircase due to the chemicals in the rug!!! I was on allergy injections for a number of years and then moved away. The new allergist told me I did NOT have allergic rhinitis, but the vasomotor, so it was not necessary for me to be on the injections. He had run some sort of skin test. Come to find out, he did not run the correct one and I have been miserable to over two years. Went back to the first dr. and he told me that the correct test was not done, so I am now back onto the injections and it has made all the difference in the world. The reason I tell you all of this is because I think it is most important that you have a thorough scratch done. Good luck because I would not want you to go through what I have just been through.
