Thanks for responding. I started out with a tickle in my throat which led to laryngitis. I went to the doctor, he said probably a virus but he did hear some wheezing when he listened to my lungs so he put me on the z-pak and steroids. I know I have allergies to dust mites and mold, I lost my voice completely and it is back about 90%. I still feel like I have phelgm or something in my lungs or throat, and the more I cough to clear it, I believe it irritates the vocal cords and then I feel like I am getting hoarse again. My nose is soooo dry and I would be happier if I could have a runny nose and nothing seems to help me. I am thinking that I might have some asthma with the allergies cause I know they can be related to some extent, but I feel so worn out and it feels like I have to push my words out to talk. Are these typical signs of allergies or asthma? I get worried about the hoarseness and get scared it is something more serious. Anymore replies or same symptoms with this type of allergy or asthma?
