Can I cut an Allegra 180mgs pill?

I had been taking Allegra, 60 mgs. for years, it worked beautifully. They just stopped making that dose and sell the generic form, Fexofenadine at 180 mgs. I have problems swallowing it but aside from that, it upsets my stomach. I never had a problem with the tinier, less dose version.

This is not an extended release pill. Can I cut this say in half to try and reduce the stomach upset and size?
Thanks...

I don't see why not. And have you checked to see if you can get the smaller dosage from Canada?

I have done it many times, and my pharmacist confirmed it's not time released, so it's won't affect the release.

I would be hesitant to get meds from out of the country.
There has been recent issues with just the freshness of these medications, the dosages being correct etc. and really who are you going to complain to if there is a problem?
But thank you for replying anyway, I appreciate it

Thank you, will try this option.
Tried the children's disintegrating tablet....gross. Geez, parents ought to get a taste of that and I can assure you they will toss it out like I did.
Plus aspartame is included in it. Nasty stuff.

Thank you for your reply...nice of you.

I've ordered meds from Canada for years - several different ones over the years. Never had any issues. I have several friends who are Canadian and they still get many from there.
