I have ear pressure, that are red and inflammed with fluid and sinus congestion. Head pressure and dizzy to the point I get nauseated. Does anyone else get this from allergies? I am desperate to find an answer to this. I tried allergy pills, nothing worked. I am currently starting Augmentin for the ear infections. Thank you, Michelle
Those could be allergy symptoms. And it might take a few tries to find an allergy medicine that works. Plus, once your symptoms get bad, it can take a couple weeks for allergy medicine to really start working!
Sudafed could probably provide faster relief, although antihistamines are more effective in the end. A steroid or antihistamine nasal spray could also help.
Getting you allergies under control should help lessen infections...unless they are causedby some other condition such a bad tonsils (that was my issue for years till I had them out). You could also use a saline rinse like NeilMed daily and that should keep your sinuses clear of any bacteria that could start an infection. If you aren't seeing an allergist, I suggest you do.
Thank you for your replies. I cant take sudafed cause I have a heart condition but I can take antihistamibes which we will try when the infection shows some improvement. I never knew dizziness or ear congestion were symptoms of allergies. Any ideas what kind of allergy triggers are out on August?
