Am I allergic to Advil (400mg)?

I took it and then 12 hours later, my cheeks got red and so did my lips. This made me a bit confused because I don't know if it means I'm allergic to the medication or to the spicy snacks I ate a few hours after the pill. I thought it might have been the snacks, but I ate it again and didn't have any reaction for the first couple of times, just some very mild flushing of the cheeks the last time I had them. This made me afraid of taking Advil, so I don't know how to figure out this allergy. Any clues?

True it's hard to tell.
It could be a mild reaction, so I would be careful about taking another pill.
Because it was your lips and your cheeks that doesn't seem normal.
Your cheeks can go red from lots of things, anxiety, feeling tired, warm etc..
But i've never heard of the lips.

That far out seems suspect. Though certainly not impossible. Try Tylenol or Aleve instead.

12 hours is a long time for that type of reaction. I think it was more likely the spicy food.

How bad did the redness get, and how long did it last? If it went away on its own after a couple hours or so, then it should be safe to try it again.
